One of the most awaited matches of the season, fans from both sides will be having a gala time when these two teams face up. Perak have been dismal in the past 4 games and will look to cheer the home crowd by defeating one of the best teams in Malaysia.
Kelantan who currently top the charts of the Super League are buzzing. The resignation of Peter Butler has not been a cause for concern for the team as Croatian Bojan Hodak has steadied the ship by stabilizing the squad and the management.
Kelantan who last drew against Navibank Saigon in the AFC Cup will want a victory as they have yet to witness a win in the Perak Stadium. Last season, Kelantan were thrashed 4-0 by Perak as they were outclassed by the spirited Perak side. Kelantan will look to stop their rot in Ipoh as they will be bringing in a full strength squad for this tie.
Kelantan’s top striker, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha returns to the fold giving Bojan Hodak options in attack. Nwoha Onyekachi who was impressive against Navibank Saigon might partner the forward in attack. Badri Radzi and Syakir Shaari will play a key role in this tie as they will have to keep the team ticking against the nippy Kinta based side.
Perak, who have been shambolic for the past 4 games will need to bounce back in order to salvage their season. Perak who were chasing Kelantan at one point, have dropped to fourth place which has alarmed the management. Norizan Bakar, knows that a 4-0 victory is a feat impossible to be repeated. However, if the players buck up and absorb the support of the home crowd, Perak will have a high chance of nailing this tie.
Akmal Rizal Rakhli will be the main man for Perak. K.Nanthakumar, who has been one of the success stories of Perak, will start alongside partner Sharom Abdul Kalam in defense. Shahrulnizam Mustapha and Slovakian, Michal Kubala will have to pull the strings from midfield and annihilate the likes of Badri and Syakir.
This will be one tie you wouldn’t want to miss. Kelantan will look for a win as they want to maintain the supremacy in the Super League. Perak, on the other hand, will want to put stop their poor run by defeating the Super League champions in front of their home crowd.
